After receiving his BFA from Oregon State University, Curtis began working in freelance graphic design and illustration. He spent thirteen years both as art director and head of advertising design for Thrifty Payless Drugs, focusing on print retail advertising. Since then he has focused on interactive, print, and environmental development in both art director and creative director capacities (serving as the Creative Director with Kennedy since 2005) serving such global clients as Intel, Microsoft, HP, Dell, Cisco Systems, Tektronix, NEC, adidas, Nike, Sunglass Hut, AkzoNobel, Office Depot, Aegon, Simplot, and others.
He has two daughters, and lives with his wife in Portland. He fills his free time undertaking home and garden projects, tinkering with motorcycles and cars, and trying to acquire mad mountain biking skills.
